Pre-blog

Snippets from the past are things I just keep on finding be they in my mind or in carefully stored correspondence so here's an entry from the past.
Today, I bought a T shirt and a Maroon coloured traditional pleated games skirt while doing some groan up work on the computer.

I did it cos it's been a stressful time dealing with loads of important emails and all I want to do is be little again playing school games. It's true.
I was a bit shocked after hitting the submit button on Newitts, the York based internet sports store after entering my payment details but the deed is done.
I want my childhood back.

Recapitation [Pre-blog]

PROMOTING THE LITTLE GIRL WAY OF BEING

I ADORE BEING A GIRL

I love the way my long tresses feel on my cheeks

I love how my skirts and dresses caress and kiss my thighs when I move

I love the way satin feels all over my little body. Especially the very feely parts

I love the sounds of our names: Linda, Michelle, Tara, Denise, Lisa, Andrea, Page, Helen, Alicia, and Christine that are flowery, sweetly or cutely feminine and pleasing to the tongue and the ear

I love the quick feather-light little kisses that we are famous for as when we seal a pact

I love my dollies and the little person that each of them is, talking to, hugging and kissing them lightly

I love looking at dresses and tiaras and dreaming of how scrumptious it would be to wear the one I am looking at

When I move quickly or run, I love being a whirl and flutter of golden hair and skirts and a glitter of tiara

I love the smell of rose, lilac and baby powder and lotion

I love tea parties where we get together and talk about our dollies and things

I love being Little instead of a Baby or Sissy because I am aware of all these scrumptious feelings and the things that give them to me and that this is what it means to be Little Girl
...........................................................................................................................................................

I, Joanne, so agree on this day, I am this little girl

Training [Pre blog]

This week I go on special training course for work in the City of Manchester which is in part one to one tuition by a specialist and part putting into action using group role playing what individually what we've been studying. I caught the electric train locally to get to it, walking the short distance from Piccadilly rail station to the city centre having remembered to pick up my mobile phone. The last time I used the trains a lot I didn't have one so it was more about having change for the payphone on the station concourse.
Performing is something I've always loved even if learning lines was nerve wracking, taking part in school plays and assemblies so this bit of the course is something I'm sure I'll enjoy. It appeals to the kid in me.
I met some very nice people of all backgrounds as we chatted over lunch, finding out some still enjoy writing letters to long time friends and how those bonds from their childhood matter to them.
After this course I "Go live" in my new post.

Christmas thoughts [Pre blog]

Just over two months in post and it's the Christmas party that is being held in public house that had a Pullman railway coach outside of it, just a few minutes walk from the towns rail station.

It's a small thing but just being with people you work with outside of work  gives you the chance to get to know them a little better and people are helping me eat which is nice cos ever since I became unwell around eleven years ago I've needed it. And it's helping them understand me.
The Christmas's I liked in the past have been more like this, like school Christmas dinners and parties and in lot's of ways that's how I'd rather things be although with any luck I just may get a few presents I'd like.
Wouldn't be great if people got you what you liked or asked you?

Beatles Capitol Albums [Pre-blog]

Released this with week some fanfare is this set of the first four Capitol albums originally issued in 1964 in a tall box with the discs in one end of a  tray with a generic essay booklet in the other with colour photographs.
Meet The Beatles is With The Beatles for Americans featuring All My Loving, I Wanna Be Your Man and I Want To Hold Your Hand plus A Want To Hold Your Hand single with its US and UK b sides.
Second Album features the only instance of Thank You Girl in stereo and exclusive US stereo mixes of I Call Your Name and Long Tall Sally, the left over tracks of the UK With The Beatles  album plus the b side of Can't Buy Me Love, You Can't Do That plus the She Loves You single and b side.
Something New features many of the songs from the UK album A Hard Day's Night but for contractual reasons at the time does not include A Hard Day's Night and Can't Buy Me Love that can be found in stereo on the 1962-1966 (Red) compilation.
Beatles '65 can be regarded in many ways as the Beatles For Sale album for North Americans taking in I'm A Loser, Honey Don't, I'll Follow The Sun and the I Feel Fine 45.

Moved [Pre blog]

I've finally started in my new job having had an Interview just after my vacation last month as they were impressed with my skills and the references I had.
There is a lot of training to do for it but I can do some of it from home and I have a dedicated person called a Tutor to help me through this which sounds a bit like school, eh?
I'm learning about how everything is done, the systems, who does what as they are really making an attempt to integrate me in, which after my previous experiences, is very moving and at some point I'll have to travel to a special course.
I can have my Panda puppet, Peaches, with me too which is what I did back in the 90's as that felt comfortable as I find things like that keep me calm.

Vacation time [Pre blog]

It's that time of the year all ready I guess.
There's just something about Summer vacationing for me and after last years OCR course I'm thinking about changing work as one thing I found was I didn't feel I was part of the organization, indeed looking back on what I said to one the external course people back then  it's as if I'm very isolated and feel vulnerable.
One thing I want to find is where I went, cos it seems to me that I've lost something of who I am and what matters the most to me in the last ten years since I've been working for my current organization.
As I've always like the seaside I might just find some clues as it was always a happy place for in the past, you know, my childhood. Can it be that long ago since I saw it?
It sounds silly but I have this pent up feeling inside of me that wants to play with the sand, I don't know why but I just do.
One girl I saw seemed so carefree the last time I was on vacation running about with her t shirt and skirt or was it one of these new Skort thingies that look like this.
They're by Gilberts I believe and girls in school I gather wear these rather than the traditional pleated Netball skirts and they have a built in undershort. It's all different from our day but time doesn't stay still does it?
