Two thousand posts

Time creeps up on you. At least that is how it appears to me barking a little still recovering as we look back to another time when as ones world went more electronic and internet based, the scrapbook became more of a electronic blog although what people do with blogs does vary.

The earliest of posts had their origins elsewhere from when various emergent social media tried adding things to keep you more on their pages as we walked out of the walled channels of news and information our internet providers offered to more user friendly browsers that let us store sites we'd look up things more for ourselves from and sites offered unique content such as discussion on music going from the those Use.net boards to sites that looked at things around gender, interests such as anime and things for those of us who loved our past experiences in childhood, realizing that actually there are many of us whether or not it's about the things you did, they way you dressed, what the heck, the life you loved and still love.

This blog always was a mixture of that and all the interests  cos in me at least it is all wrapped in one package - always was - just being yourself in carefree and totally innocent way which for me at least much of adult life just fly over me me like some airplane you read of in a book but never really on that whole projection as it went whizzing by.

That was never my trip, just obviously minding the way how as an adult in law the way things go and the things that clearly could never be but then as time went by you found others of a similar mindset to whom just playing more that way, that was okay (being by law adults) well clear of anything "off" or gets your "ick".

That's the thing between the pages of this journal not always in chronological order often following some sequence, sometimes things from the past I recall, often things in the present, the life as lived and the two thousand of them is what today we celebrate.

Eight hundred trips around the sun

Here at The World of Joanne Chan we're marking an anniversary today.
You see it is our 800th post on the blog that was began before Tumblr was born and Instagram was thought of so this was my main platform to express myself as a person on rather than just sharing opinions around odd topics on forums.
It's a slice of life blog of a middle/little as lived and experienced so all life from adventures and interests about that life are to be found which I feel is it's strength as when you're like me you're always regressed to a point, usually requiring some oversight and so that life is in its context rather than something you might just role play at.
One thing I have been doing for this anniversary has been tidying up some entries where say images were small being made on a ancient desktop computer and a very slow unreliable internet connection where it was type, assemble and publish before the connection went.
It was much the same story on That Boarding School Girl where I have too being working on tidying entries up as some had images under 180 x 270 pixels even in places around the same era some just being above what today we regard as thumbnails.
Some had strange things going on involving the text breaking out in colour too.
One thing I have being more of is exercise and today's picture was taken recently while out doing just that in its vivid colours which the recent changes in blog layout now allow me to take full advantage of
Happy 800th Anniversary!

Post 700

This blog seems very much to have been going for an eternity from the earliest days of literally grabbing all the material on a really old computer, typing at home and while for once we had some spare time at work over a few weeks, the works one too(!!!) which was a bit quicker.
Rather like me, it's been evolving over all that time as I began to try to understand what  made me, well me, how the more child-like side slotted in with the bits that deal with the adult world because with me this is less playing a role I can just click my fingers and be out of so much that it comes out of me from The Child Within.
It's seen me interact initially with people online in various forums and sometimes going through forums as I realized they were not really for me to getting to know people face to face, spending time with them for several days at a time.
In that time with support I have been working on some of my difficulties such as Math and English finding time to study, reading either by myself or  sometimes a shared book learning to discuss it with others.
As well, this time has seen me become more confident as this adult little/middle girl as I started to get that whole life working better with additional support and structures routed very much in meeting the child-like needs I have properly so I'm well grounded, learning to do more and be more responsible.
I have been tidying up this blog a little, correcting odd mistakes, changing the odd image while preparing a couple of new entries ready for the next hundred  editions.
At the more techy side only 49% of you use Windows with Chrome followed by Firefox being your preferred browsers showing just how far we've moved from the early days of blogging.
Here's to the enduring success of The World of Joanne_chan.
