A word from our newest follower, Colleen:
Hi folks, we've gained two
more followers this week so thank you Amore and Colleen and the many more
readers of this blog.
Colleen wanted to post
something this week but for some reason neither of us of understand it never
took so this is a post for her.
Colleen entered my stream at
a social network recently transitioning to being a woman which she's very
comfortable with and after sharing this blog with that stream she started to
read this blog (and a.n.other) liking how they're not narrowly focussed
covering a wide variety of topics that link to femininity in differing ways.
Colleen started in the last
few days to read quite a lot of this blog although as she puts it she's not
read everything cos I'm so prolific posting away liking the childlike interest
I have and to which this blog is about.
Colleen had this blazing
revelation reading the blog and my comments to her that this interest around
childlike things is something that made her different than the many other trans
people she's talked with. It blew her mind!
Colleen had, like me cutified
the computer, loved Hello Kitty and had some Disney figurines but she didn't
realize she'd created a space not so far removed from that of a child, indeed
looking back at her computer with it's themes, fancy cursor, and desktop icons
it just looked like a seven year olds!
She found the entry
"Background Capsule" dealing as it does with the dialogue between
your Big Girl (the Adult) and the Little Girl (the child within) very helpful
setting her mind at ease and now has realized her child within wants to come
out and play. She sees this is helpful in having a good emotionally balenced
life as much as she loves her big side.
Colleen now understands and
indeed regards herself as a Adult Little Girl being comfortable with it seeing
what was perhaps subconciouslesly denied.
These are her very words " It wasn't the easiest process
for me to admit I'm ALG. But I need to feel that innocence, playfulness and child
fun again in my life"
To Colleen I say "Yes
you are an Adult Little Girl". I am so pleased you understand the whole
you for yourself and having discovered it for yourself. You belong in our
community.
She will be joining Girltalk
and Ikklescape to talk with and play with us where I'm sure those of us in
membership will offer a warm welcome.
Colleen asked me to write
something to show her appreciation for what my mere words did for her so I'll
give her the last word (edited comments):
Thank you again for
everything, your kindness, your blog which was so helpful last night and for
the clarification of that alphabet soup thing for me :) I am almost shaking
with excitement but the best I can tell is I seem to have stopped maturing in
many ways at 7 to 9 years of age. Looking back now there were so many times
where that little girl popped out unexpectedly and often at the most awkward
times. She must have been wanting attention that I wasn't giving her. I am
going to cherish the little girl in me for the rest of my life now.
Hello, love your blog - Samantha x x x
